It is an apartment on the ground floor of an old house from the 1940s restored in 2001 by the owners that
currently live upstairs. Both traditional and modern elements were combined during the restoration. Two
small patios (courtyards) were maintained and the rooms were distributed around them: these patios help
to refresh the house naturally during the summer. The owners endeavoured to conserve the original structural
elements of the house - such as the wooden beams in the ceiling - and to use traditional building materials
from the region, such as clay floor tiling, lime mortars and old azulejos (ceramic tiles).
The apartment sleeps 2-4 people and has a total surface of about 75 m². It includes a bedroom with a double
bed, a study with a double sofa bed, an open-plan kitchen and living room (30 m²), a bathroom and a toilet.
The dining room and the study have access to the two small patios. The house is equipped with central
heating. Sheets, blankets and towels are provided.
